Wine has always been at the heart of the family's story. Marc D. Taub, raised with a profound reverence for winemaking, inherited this passion from his grandfather Marty, a pivotal gure in the wine industry since the early 1930s and later, his father David. In 2013, Marc acquired Heritance Vintners in Napa Valley, now transformed as Taub Family Vineyards. With their namesake, Marc and his son Jake look to explore Napa's most dynamic sub-appellations and single vineyards to build their own storied cabernet house, curating wines from some of the Valley's most esteemed sites. ## T E R R O I R &amp; V I N T A G E N O T E S The 2021 vintage was a redemption year for Napa growers and vintners alike. Following a wet start in January and February, the spring and summer saw largely mild and consistent temperatures with veyr few signicant heat spikes. This allowed for even ripening and longer hang time, promoting optimal avor development while maintaining freshness and acidity. ## WINE M A KI N G &amp; A G I N G The grapes were hand-picked, whole cluster pressed, and barrel fermented with native yeast in 4- and 5-year-old Burgundian barrels. The wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation. Acid levels were brilliantly elevated, and the concentrated berries produced excellent fruit intensity and weight.
